Fifth Plenary Workshop of the Muon g-2 Theory Initiative
Event description
The Fifth Plenary Workshop of the Muon g-2 Theory Initiative will be held at the University of Edinburgh from 5th to 9th of September 2022. We currently plan to hold the workshop as a full in-person meeting, and we will continue to monitor the situation of the global pandemic in case adjustments are needed.
The anomalous magnetic moment of the Muon (Muon g-2) has received massive attention recently, including multiple ongoing experimental efforts and theoretical calculations. This is because the best experimental and theoretical determinations to date are in significant tension, so that the quantity offers clear potential for a new-physics discovery. The aim of the workshop is to discuss recent progress on the theoretical calculations and prepare an update of the Standard Model prediction for Muon g-2.
More information and the workshop registration can be found on indico.
