Isospin-breaking corrections to Pseudoscalar Meson Mass Spectra in Lattice QCD
- Ali Shakir
Event description
Lattice QCD simulations are typically limited in precision by the exclusion of isospin-breaking contributions, which arise from the soft braking of SU(2) isospin-symmetry by different up- and down-quark masses, as well as QED corrections. In this talk, I will provide a basic overview of lattice QCD methods before focusing in on the study of the pseudoscalar mass spectrum and how percent-level corrections can be constructed from existing simulation data.
