Spin in the (super)conformal bootstrap
- Hector Puerta Ramisa
Event description
The conformal bootstrap is a framework which aims to classify conformal field theories in diverse dimensions via symmetry and consistency arguments. In this talk, I will provide an introduction to the key ideas underlying this approach. Following this, the discussion will focus on the new structures and complications that arise when considering correlation functions of spinning fields. In particular, I will sketch how to derive spinning conformal blocks by using weight-shifting operators, to be defined. If time permits, I will show how these ideas can be generalised to superconformal field theories by using a suitable superspace formalism.
