Modelling accuracy and error for beyond-concordance physics in cosmological observables

Event description
The next generation of galaxy surveys (Euclid, The Vera Rubin Observatory, DESi, DES) will be providing us with highly precise measurements of the cosmological galaxy distribution. In order to extract the most cosmological and gravitational information from these measurements, our theoretical models need to be equally accurate. While the standard model of cosmology has such frameworks available, non-standard models do not, leaving us unable to perform optimal tests of potential new physics using these upcoming measurements.
I will present the current state-of-the-art modelling frameworks with their shortcomings, and suggest possible paths forward which I am working on.
If time permits I will also discuss an infant project on the Hubble tension.
