Abstract
Effective field theory offers a way to parameterize unknown high energy physics systematically in a low-energy effective action. In the talk I will describe how the operator couplings in effective field theory can be bounded using basic assumptions about unitarity, analyticity, and high energy behavior of the 2-to-2 scattering amplitude. I'll give some basic examples of such bounds before discussing new results on how information from higher-point amplitudes can be used to further constrain the effective couplings in the bootstrap of the 2-to-2 amplitude.
