Scholarships

Higgs Scholarships

The School of Physics and Astronomy will award twelve Higgs Scholarships to selected students on the MSc in Mathematical Physics, MSc in Theoretical Physics, MSc in Particle and Nuclear Physics, and MSc in Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences for academic year 2024-25. Each scholarship has a value of £10,000. The value of the award will be deducted from tuition fees.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Financial need may also be considered, especially where the award of a Scholarship will be key for enabling a student to take up the offer of a place on our MSc programme.

The closing date for Higgs Scholarship applications is 3 June 2024.

Postgraduate loans

Postgraduate loans are available to UK students (and some EU students). These can be used towards tuition fees and (in some cases) living expenses. For details, see the link below.
