Heavy Flavour Physics at the Large Hadron Collider

Speaker:

Abstract

The analysis of rare decays of heavy flavour mesons has the potential to cast light on some of the big unknowns about the Universe such as: which underlying theory is the Standard Model embedded in, what is the nature of dark matter, and what is the process that created the matter-antimatter asymmetry. From a small number of results obtained with data from the Large Hadron Collider in the LHCb, CMS and ATLAS experiments, I will review how they enhance our understanding.
